My kids really like it when I tell them we are going to eat at Daddy's Restaurant. I can remember when Daddy's Restaurant came to be, but it has been a hit since it's inception. We have been pretty low budget most of the time over the last couple of years. My wife is a soon to be 3rd year medical school student. Some times its fun to mix it up a little. I don't know about you, but most of the time when we go out to eat we leave disappointed anyways.
Last week was my birthday. My 8 year old boy said dad I want to take you out to lunch for your birthday. It can be just boy time. I will even pay for it (I have $81 dollars you know :) ) That $81 is burning a hole in his pocket. That really touched me!! My wife has been studding for the board exams really hard for the last month. I'm sure she would have come home and watch the kids, but I asked the kids if they would like to go out to eat at Daddy's Restaurant instead. They all including my boy said YES!!! I took out some hamburger and made hamburgers, french fries, onion rings, fried pickles and milk shakes, yes milk shakes. I think my son eat 3 hamburgers and they all wanted more milk shakes. It was a good time!!
You are the best daddy in the world, Jason, and those kids are never going to forget your restaurant! They are so lucky!
